LiteDuck is the lean sibling in the Duck family: a small, fast desktop code editor with a file browser, an integrated terminal, and built-in Git — and nothing you didn't ask for. Extend it with installable plugins when you need more.

Built with Tauri, Rust, and React, LiteDuck ships as a small native binary for macOS (Windows and Linux planned) and installs via Homebrew. It's deliberately minimal — no AI, no telemetry bloat — just a quick editor that opens instantly and gets out of your way.

When you do want more, a curated plugin registry (liteduck-plugins) lets you add functionality on demand, so the core stays lean while the editor grows with you.
